Six petals
Six petals, pressed flat and closed into a ring. From a distance it reads as a bangle. Up close the carving shows — every petal edged, the seam between them left visible, two small red beads set where the petals meet.
A flower that decided to stay a bracelet.
What's inside
Twelve aromatic botanicals, weighed out one by one: sandalwood, agarwood, tangerine peel, patchouli, mugwort, mint, osmanthus, licorice, chrysanthemum, and a few more that don't translate well. Bound with nanmu wood powder, pressed while still soft.
No fragrance oil. No alcohol carrier. No fixative. Nothing to top up, nothing to remember.
- Blue Hour. Woody and faintly bitter at the top, settling into something dry and quiet. Wears closest to skin in winter.
How it's made — seven steps, most of them waiting
- 01 · Sorting and curing. Raw materials are sorted and cured before anything else happens. This is the stage nobody photographs and the one that decides how it smells a year later.
- 02 · Grinding. Ground in a stone mill, slowly. A high-speed grinder is faster and heats the powder, which costs you the top notes.
- 03 · Blending. Weighed to a formula, then bound. The recipe is older than any of us.
- 04 · Kneading and resting. The paste is kneaded, then left to rest so it firms up and settles. Rushing this is why cheap incense smells flat.
- 05 · Shaping by hand. Each petal and each bead rolled by hand. This is why no two are identical, and why 1–2 mm of variation is normal rather than a defect.
- 06 · Drying in shade. Days, not hours. Sun would crack it.
- 07 · Polishing. Sanded and polished, then left unlacquered so the surface stays matte and the scent can move.
Seven steps, and most of the time is spent waiting for the material to be ready. That's the part a factory can't speed up.
What you'll notice
- The scent stays within arm's reach. You'll catch it when you lift your hand; the person beside you probably won't. That's deliberate — it's made to be worn, not announced.
- It arrives a little sharp. Leave it in the air for a day or three and it settles into something rounder.
- Matte, faintly cool, warms within a minute. The petals are flat, so the piece sits low on the wrist instead of standing up.
- The blue-green goes almost black in low light and returns when you step outside. It's the least photogenic thing about it and the reason people stop you.
- At 50 g you know it's there. This is not a piece you forget you're wearing.

Care
Keep it dry: blot, never rub, and let it air-dry out of the sun. Take it off before you wash your hands, shower, swim or sleep. Keep it away from metal — the petals are soft and will scuff. If the scent goes quiet, seal it in a jar for three to seven days and it gathers again. Full instructions come in the box.
Safety
External use only. Not for children — small parts. If you have sensitive skin or a known allergy to plant materials, wear it for an hour the first day before wearing it all day. Discontinue if irritation occurs.
In the box
The bangle. A linen-textured box. A card with the blend written on it. A hand-numbered tag. A cotton pouch. One spare red bead and a length of elastic, in case.
A note on handmade
Every petal is pressed and polished by hand, and the material is dried naturally rather than baked. Expect 1–2 mm of difference in thickness, slight variation in colour between batches, and small marks from the process. These are not flaws. No two pieces are identical, and we don't try to make them so.
