Mugwort (Artemisia argyi), known in Chinese as ài cǎo, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, most recognizably in moxibustion therapy, where the dried herb is burned to direct warmth toward acupuncture points. In topical use, mugwort is valued for its calming, balancing qualities, particularly on skin that reacts easily to redness or congestion.

This bar is cold processed in small batches, a method that preserves the natural glycerin most commercial soap strips out and sells separately, leaving regular bars dry and tight. The result lathers gently and rinses clean without that squeezed, stripped feeling.

The bar is a dark green-grey, the natural color of dried mugwort leaf, with a faint herbal, earthy scent. On the skin, it feels more like a calming ritual than a basic cleanse.
